"Going Fishing"
I am wishing
to go fishing.
As I wait,
I hook my bait.
First I will hook,
last I will cook.
I am out to seek
right in Mud Creek.
I am going my way,
this very day.
It is so cold,
but I am very bold.
I have on a coat,
and I'm inside my boat.
It is night,
but the moon is bringing light.
I got my wish,
I caught ten fish.
I have a tear in my eye
as I am about to say good-bye.
The moon brings light
as I say goodnight.
Tonight I'm going to eat fish
just as I wished.
