A trip to the "Volunteer" city

Knoxville, the "Volunteer" city, is not far from the Smoky Mountains.

Watch out for that daaark, creeeepy tunnel...

Rain...

...or shine.

Some of my relatives attended this fair, including my mom.

The "Chillin' Pavilion"

A golden Knoxville landmark

Neyland Stadium, where the players "volunteer" and the Volunteers "play", far and wide...

...and taking a closer look.

Where the Volunteers "PLAY BALL!!!"

Where the Volunteers make a "grand slam dunk!"

I lived in Knoxville for a year and attended college there. I went to games at Neyland stadium. Watched basketball at the old arena and actually worked at the World's fair. Yeah I just dated myself. Great photos.

I love that city. I have family (an uncle and aunt) that live in Strawberry Plains, TN. When we stay there we usually check out Downtown Knoxville and then we go to a show in Sevierville/Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. It is beautiful!
